Dickie Brennans Steakhouse, New Orleans, LA

Date: 01/15/2010
Time: Late Afternoon
Type: Bar/Restaurant
Where: 716 Iberville Street,New Orleans, LA
Party: 2 Girls, 1 Guy

Immediate Impression:
Great Bar! Love the dark woods, the good use of small shot bottles of booze, and the cigar selection...also, fantastic lighting. Think this may be pricey!

Service:
Was great, even though we arrived at the very tail end of lunch. Actually, at one point, three different people brought out our food, including the manager. Maybe they were trying to get us out of there, but it still made us feel special.

Bartendar took our drink order promptly, food came out promptly, dishes were cleared quickly and check was dropped quickly (after being asked for).

Menu/Food:
We went there because one of our guests wanted Turtle Soup, which he was not impressed with; the other guest had their Chicken Gumbo Soup which she said was fantastic but wish there had been more for the price; because of my ridiculous allergies to nuts and shellfish, I got stuck having a rather blah chopped salad.

We all had Bloody Mary's,which are not really worth talking about.

Price:
Pricey!!! I hear they are known for their steaks, may want to try that.

Final thought:
One time was enough for me. The food was not exquisite enough for any of us to go there again. There are better options in New Orleans, unless you are looking for Turtle Soup on a Friday Afternoon.
